What the listings print

The band appears in more than one spelling: 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only on the Kasa and GHome plugs, 2.4G only on the Govee plug, 2.4G Wi-Fi only on the Linkind, and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi on the Amazon Basics smart bulb. The site counts every spelling as the same requirement and quotes each one as written.

Thirteen more listings name Wi-Fi, an app or an assistant and print no band at all. Their cells are dashed rather than empty: the question comes up, and the listing does not answer it.

What the site does not explain

The site does not explain radio bands and says nothing about how a home network should be set up. For readers who want the documents rather than a summary, the federal rule at 47 CFR § 15.247 is titled for operation within bands that include 2400–2483.5 MHz, and 47 CFR § 15.407 sets technical requirements for devices in bands beginning at 5.15–5.25 GHz. Where the category lines fall

By category, the band is printed by one bulb listing and four plug listings, and by no fan, purifier, dehumidifier or lock listing. The purifiers, dehumidifiers and locks that name Wi-Fi leave the band out, which is why so many of the dashed cells on this page belong to them.
